Note from the International Fashion Support Foundation in The Netherlands:

Last September the Ambassadors of the European Union and some neighbour countries were invited by me to a personal artistic contribution on the subject how they perceive, as expats, The Hague and its environment as their present home and base of diplomatic service. The German Ambassador to the Netherlands, Dr. Thomas M. Läufer, has offered his assistance to me and helped me to make the project a success.

The private view of the Ambassadors should be exposed in painting a picture by each of them with colours and materials provided by the company Caparol Nederland. The project will end with a presentation of the paintings at the NH-Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam in February 2010.

The returns are supposed to go to the Foundation, and I also suggested to share a part of the returns with the Fonds Slachtofferhulp. The project is dedicated to humanitarian aid and solidarity, it will foster the social commitment of the diplomatic community to the Netherlands as its host country.

At this moment there are 25 Excellencies painting and I am very grateful for their participation.
